Queer and Faithful Conference
I initiated and co-organized the interfaith project of reimagining an affirming space, finding a place where race, queerness and faith all belong, 2018.

Together, we explored the themes of trauma, family, resilience, hope, hiding, privilege, Islamophobia, intersectionality, and more.

Through the conference, we highlighted the voices of 2SLGBTQ+ people of colour and newcomers as organizers, speakers, and participants. All allies were welcome to participate in a way that honoured the centring of 2S/QTPOC voices from beginning to end.

We asked the panelists and all:
What has been the moment when your faith and sexuality and gender or any other aspect of your identity came together or broke apart?

What future do you want to imagine?
